It's All About Timing

Posted by manganofamily on June 16, 2009 at 3:09 PM

Taking on the preservation of Sam Mangano's website was a decision we didn't need to think twice about. Ahhh, now if we could have only timed it so that it wouldn't have coincided with our move to a new home . . . But that would be too easy, and as a rule, we don't usually find the easy way to do anything. As a matter of fact, we lean toward the complicated.

Luckily, transferring Sam's treasure trove of information has gone relatively smoothly, and we've only battled with finding the time to do it, along with full-time jobs, taking care of kids and animals, getting a daughter off to college for summer school, finding a new home, getting through the escrow period, packing and -- still yet to come -- getting through the actual move. Did I mention sleep?

We thank you ahead of time for your patience as we go through these very busy summer days. In the meantime, if you have suggestions or ideas for the website, please let us know.  We promise to be quicker at answering our e-mail than we are at finishing up the website.

Cheers!

Hello, can anyone explain this Mangano site and how the family names mentioned are connected ?

This site was designed to be a place where Mangano's from around the world can connect and share information about their families, as well as about allied families which may also have information about Manganos. For example, one of our Ippolito relatives is her family's historian, and she has a great deal of information about those who married into her family, including Giovanni Mangano, our grandfather, who married her aunt. This makes the Ippolito family associated or allied with our Mangano family. If you are trying try track down information about your Mangano relatives, whether or not they are still alive, you may find others with different surnames who can help connect you. The names listed on this site are just a small number of allied or associated names of the families we know are associated with Manganos. If you have some surnames you would like to add to this list, we would love to include them. Please send us an e-mail with details.

Thanks for your note,

Julie Mangano
